1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
3 tbl. Parmesan cheese
1 lb ground beef (I halved this with turkey)
1 loaf of French bread cut into 1'' slices
1 8oz package cream cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
2 cups spaghetti sauce
2 cloves garlic
In a bowl, combine onions, crumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 1'' balls. Place in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 min or until no longer pink. Meanwhile, arrange bread in a single layer of an ungreased 9x13 baking dish (all of the bread might not get used). Toast the bread in the oven till hard to touch. In a bowl combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning and pepper, spread over the bread. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella cheese. In another bowl combine sauce, and garlic, add meatballs. Pour over cheese mixture, sprinkle with remaining mozzarella. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 min or until heated through.
